Operational activity

As at 18 December 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (the Commission):

  • is conducting 39 preliminary investigations 
  • is conducting 28 corruption investigations, including 7 joint investigations
  • is overseeing or monitoring 18 investigations by other agencies 
  • has 5 matters before the court
  • has 559 referrals pending assessment.

Over the period from 1 July 2024 to midnight Sunday 15 December 2024, the Commission:

  • received 1,176 referrals
  • excluded 952 referrals at triage stage.

End of year shutdown

The Commission will close from 5 pm AEDT on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and reopen on Thursday 2 January 2025. 

During this time, our offices will be closed and regular operations will be paused. We will resume our activities in the new year, with the first media alert for 2025 scheduled for release on Wednesday 29 January 2025.
