Operational activity
As at 29 January 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (the Commission):
- is conducting 33 preliminary investigations
- is conducting 31 corruption investigations, including 9 joint investigations
- is overseeing or monitoring 15 investigations by other agencies
- has 5 matters before the court
- has 544 referrals pending assessment.
Since the last update (on 18 December 2024) the Commission has:
- concluded 8 preliminary investigations and initiated 3 new preliminary investigations. Of the 8 concluded:
- no corruption issue was found to arise in 7, and
- one will proceed to full investigation.
- commenced 3 new corruption investigations, including 2 joint investigations.
Over the period from 1 July 2024 to midnight Sunday 26 January 2025, the Commission:
- received 1,366 referrals
- excluded 1,055 referrals at the triage stage.
