Weekly update on the work of the Commission - 19 March 2025

Operational activity

As at 19 March 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (the Commission):

• is conducting 34 preliminary investigations 
• is conducting 33 corruption investigations, including 9 joint investigations
• is overseeing or monitoring 15 investigations by other agencies. One new agency investigation has been commenced this week 
• has 7 matters before the court. Two new prosecutions arising from Commission and joint investigations were instituted this week
• has 573 referrals pending assessment.

Over the period from 1 July 2024 to midnight Sunday 16 March 2025, the Commission:

• received 1,636 referrals
• excluded 1,257 referrals at triage stage
• progressed 3 new matters for prosecution.
